Lone Tree Arts Center’s production of Nice Work if You Can Get It was the big winner in this week’s 20^th Annual Henry Awards, presented by the Colorado Theatre Guild Monday night, July 21, at the Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities. The ceremony celebrated the full community of theatre in Colorado during the 2025-2026 season, acknowledging “Every Part of the Work,” or the “hundreds of choices made by people whose names may never be announced.”

Taking home 12 awards this year, Lone Tree Arts Center cleaned up with Nice Work if You Can Get It, beating out notable productions by Theatre Aspen, Miners Alley, DCPA Cabaret, Denver Center Theatre Company, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities and Thingamajig Theatre Company in the same tier level.

Christopher Page-Sanders, Outstanding Choreography

Adriane Leigh Robinson, Outstanding Performance in a Musical

Marco Alberto Robinson, Outstanding Performance in a Musical

Alec Steinhorn, Outstanding Musical Direction

Kate Gleason, Outstanding Direction of a Musical

Lone Tree picked up additional awards for Outstanding Ensemble Performance and Outstanding Production of a Musical.

Also winning in Tier One, Leslie O’Carroll and Adriane Leigh Robinson in Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, DCPA Cabaret, for Outstanding Featured Performance in a Play. Christopher L. Sheley won for The Roommate, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College. Charles R. MacLeod won Outstanding Lighting Design for Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, DCPA Cabaret. For Outstanding Performance in a Play, Bernard Dotson in Driving Miss Daisy, Theatre Aspen, and Kenneth Tigar in The Happiest Man on Earth, Denver Center Theatre Company, were the winners.

Tier Two winners included:

Jeffrey Parker in South Pacific, Performance Now Theatre Company, and Jason Rexx in Something Rotten! StageDoor Theatre, for Outstanding Featured Performance in a Musical;

Madison Kuebler in Alabama Story, Firehouse Theatre Company, for Outstanding Sound Design;

Steve Emily in Frozen, Springs Ensemble Theatre, and Dia Kline in The Last Yiddish Speaker, Theatre Or, for Outstanding Featured Performance in a Play;

Charlotte Campbell in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Performance Now Theatre Company, for Outstanding Costume Design;

Jim & Carla Brookman in The Cottage, OpenStage Theatre & Company, for Outstanding Scenic Design;

Adam Brett and Maura Fawley in Cabaret, Stage of Life (SoL) Theatre Company, for Outstanding Performance in a Musical;

Jeffrey Bigger in Another Medea, Bas Bleu Theatre Company, and Martha Harmon Pardee in Alabama Story, Firehouse Theatre Company, for Outstanding Performance in a Play;

Josiah Croegaert in Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol, Breckenridge Backstage Theatre for Outstanding Lighting Design.

The Outstanding New Play or Musical award was given to Denver Center Theatre Company for Godspeed. Outstanding Direction of a Play went to Gordon Greenberg, DCPA Cabaret, for Dracula, and Outstanding Production of a Play went to Denver Center Theatre Company for English.

The awards program included a lifetime achievement award presented to Dr. Brian Kelly, DDS, a former Broadway performer turned dentist who came to Colorado theatre more than 30 years ago and helped scores of actors with their dental needs pro bono or at reduced rates. He has offered more than $200K in services via the Denver Actors Fund, which provides support to members of Colorado’s theatre community facing expensive dental, mental health, or medical emergencies.

Musical numbers were performed from Sasquatch Productions and Parker Arts’ Shrek the Musical, Lone Tree Arts Center’s Nice Work if You Can Get It, andArvada Center’s Come From Away. The In Memoriam feature memorializing the passing of Colorado theatre members was “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
